Roni’s Spirit and a love letter to Malibu for The Elder Statesman Holiday 2023
Roni was born in Los Angeles and has surfed Malibu’s Surfrider Beach since the 1960s, and in the 1990s was president of the Malibu Surfing Association.
Due to an injury, Roni can no longer pop up on a board but she still visits Surfrider daily and will paddle out. Roni’s journey in life is to find one’s true self and to be aware, her greatest joy is her found family in Malibu.
