For The Elder Statesman’s Holiday 2023 collection – we dreamed up our own pattern packaging for our TES Arts & Crafts factory. Most of TES’ production is run out of our own facility in Los Angeles through various hand-made processes such as hand-powered machine knitting, hand-patchwork, hand-dyeing and painting, and custom-tailoring. The Elder Statesman’s design ethos combines the highest integrity of materials with relaxed and easy-to-wear silhouettes. A pattern is a road map to garment craft. Through our lookbook, we highlight our teams’ processes – from cut and sew patternmaking, hand-powered machine knitting, hand-patchwork quilting, and recipe-making for our cashmere dyes.
